Dr. Katelyn Jetelina, Your Local Epidemiologist

Making the Invisible Visible – Communicating the Value of Public Health in a Changing Landscape

Katelyn Jetelina, MPH PhD is an epidemiologist and scientific communicator. She co-founded the Health Trust Initiative and is a Senior Scientific Advisor to several government and non-profit agencies, including a former advisor to the White House and currently the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Resolve to Save Lives. In addition, Dr. Jetelina is the publisher of Your Local Epidemiologist- a public health newsletter that “translates” ever-evolving science to the public, reaching over 300 million views. Dr. Jetelina has received numerous national awards, including the National Academies of Science and a medal of honor from the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Katelyn resides with her husband and two toddlers in San Diego, California.

Vaney Hariri has shaped intentional cultures for over 16 years as a leader, mentor, and community advocate. His mission is simple: to help people love better, starting with themselves.

As co-founder of Think 3D Solutions and co-author of Think 3D – A Radical New Approach to Maximizing the Potential of Your Team, Vaney brings real, candid, and effective coaching to leadership development. With 12+ years in the financial industry leading high-performing teams, he saw firsthand how culture drives engagement, performance, and retention—beliefs that led him to launch Think 3D Solutions.

An active Sioux Falls leader, Vaney has served over a decade on the Human Relations Commission, chaired it for five years, and holds executive roles with Downtown Sioux Falls Inc. and the Rotary Club.
